I work in the loop and went there for lunch today. I got the mongolian beef lunch special. The cashier said my balance was $8.20. When I got back to my office and looked at my receipt I saw she charged me $9.12.

I just started a new job in the area and was looking for a quick place where I could get some food and get back to my desk. The line here looks intimidating at first but it does move quickly. I was in and out in about 5 mins during the lunch hour.I ordered the broccoli and chicken on noodles and paid about $7 - no egg roll or drink included. I ended up throwing half of it away - grr. I actually threw it away in a trash can away from my desk so I wouldn't have to smell it all afternoon - queasy stomach :(Very salty... 15 mins after eating & I already had a migraine. I haven't had one in about a year. Gee thanks! I think it's the noodles that did me in.Speaking of which, the noodles were not what I was expecting. They had some sort of greasy sauce and a meat in it. I'm not sure if it was beef or pork. They are also more expensive than the white rice and fried rice.Maybe I'll go back for a crab rangoon one day but no entrees for me :(

This is the place for your cheap, salty, MSG ridden fix of Chinese Food. It's bad, but oh so good. They serve you enough to feed an entire Chinese family in one lunch special.Sewen dolla.

I just purchased a Groupon Now discount voucher and will be going here for lunch today. I hope its tasty, Yelp has so many mixed reviews on here. I was going to order online and just walk in for pick-up, but decided I want to see the food in the heating / steam tables to check for freshness. I don't want mine bagged up waiting at 11 am for a 12 noon order.I will report back afterwards.12:19 pm - just returned from my break...I ordered Crab Ragoon and an Egg Roll. Yes, the food is salty. It overwhelmed my tongue as I chewed the rangoon.Decently filled with the Cream Cheese/Crabmeat mixture. But sorta pricey at $1+ each. Most places I have seen them for like 6 ragoon pcs for $5 (84 cents each). The eggroll was crispy fried and standard pricing at $1.10 each.Overall, I would say its ok. Not a "super wow, I have to go back".But if I was in the area and was hungry, I would stop in again. The food was hot and the steam table was filled (like Panda Express). Entrees are a bit pricey......the Orange Chicken (medium size) and Chicken fried rice meal was $6.98, no eggroll or drink was included.

So if you know anything about the loop, you know pickins are slim for a quick bite at a reasonable price. I wanted something quick, to-go, and not Jimmy John's.. what does that leave 65 Chinese Restaurant.A bit daunting when you walk in because they have that big old school board with their offerings, then they have the buffet (tell the servers what you want), and then they have some prices on the windows.. There is a LOT going on.However, I took a chance and ordered. I was pleasantly surprised and satisfied with the food, price, and portions. It's def lunch and leftovers. Would I go outta my way to get back, absolutely not. But ehh if I am in the area, sure!

I'm over this place; it seems to deteriorate each time. The portions get smaller and smaller and its never fresh. Its pretty expensive as well. For about $9 you dont get fortune cookie, vegetables, egg roll or anything, just chicken and rice. Also, I have some concerns about the cleanliness. I dislike when the cashier who handles money from people off the streets serves your food. Also, there was a person peeling green beens at a table around people coughing and sneezing and they were not wearing gloves.Eat elsewhere.
